# The Tokenomics

Earth From Another Sun is currently an open-world sandbox game, as well as a living, breathing virtual world. But we won't stop here. The eventual goal is to build a part of "the metaverse", a future software construct where all people live, work, study, and socialize inside.

The entire metaverse won't be built by a single organization or business. It will be a collaboration between many talented teams and individuals. When the time comes, EFAS will be one of the most prominent application layers of the metaverse, serving as an entrance and economic system that provides an interface between users, and the underlying infrastructure such as blockchain, rendering, and networking technology.

This application layer must have two essential ingredients:

* Decentralized governance
* A robust economic system
